Everyone, trust me, this was a very hard decision to make. But we have decided to Postpone the River City Shootout. We will unfortunately not be shooting the match this weekend.

We are looking to move it one month to let everything hopefully calm down. So we are slating the Shootout for April 25th & 26th.

We plan to simply move over the match to that weekend; keeping everyone on their same squads.

Again, we absolutely did not want to make this kind of decision, but did feel like it was the best for everyone with what is going on. Everyone please take care of yourselves!!

March 21st & 22nd. Stages are all set and ready to go!! We are shooting this match Rain or Shine!! We are right at a week away. There is still time to get signed up for this match. Go to Practiscore.com and search RCSC and look for the Shootout.

WE WILL NOT HAVE A REGULAR USPSA FOR MARCH. Only the Shootout!!!

Reminder that this match has a Hammer Down time of 9am!! Registration/Check-in is 8:00-8:45am. We will have dedicated RO’s for this match to help it flow better!!

And last but not least, we would again like to thank our match Sponsors. Sean at Red Dirt Shooting Sports is paying out for Division Winners (who meet the minimum shooter requirement) as well as provided the plaques for all Division Winners. And we had Walther step up with a Free Gun as a Grand Prize!! Please consider sending your business to these great people!!

See everyone at the Range!! Let’s have some FUN!!!!

For the 2020 River City Shootout, we have received a certificate from Walther for a PPQ Sub-Compact!! Walther was extremely generous to support our local match!! So please join us in expressing our Thanks to them!!!!

This prize is on top of the Cash Division Winnings (w/ minimum # per Division) from Sean at Red Dirt Shooting Sports!! Sean also provided the plaques for Division Winners again this year!! So also join us in thanking Sean!!

We wanted to take a second to wish every one of our followers a very Happy New Year!! We hope to see each and every one of you this year for our matches.

Our First match of the year will be a Steel Challenge Match on 1/12/20. Normal times. Registration 9-9:45. Hammer Down at 10. See you there!!

Hello Everyone!! Just wanted to share that we have updated most of our 2020 Shooting Calendar. We also welcome Red Dirt Shooting Sports as a continued sponsor for us here at River City. Please consider sending business their way when you are in need of shooting gear.

We plan to have USPSA matches on the 4th Sunday of every month. The exceptions to that will be in March (for our RCSC Shootout), November (will be on the 2nd Sunday instead), and December (due to the Holidays).

Steel Challenge matches are currently scheduled for the 2nd Sunday of the month but only on Odd months. So January, March, May, July, & September. November will be a USPSA match instead of Steel. We are looking at the possibility of having 7 stages setup at each match instead of the 6 we’ve had before.

The 2nd Sunday in June will be a USPSA Special Classifier Match. And the 2nd Sunday in October will be our River City Hosefest!! That leaves us with the 2nd Sundays in February, April, & August. We are still working out what we will host for those. But possibly looking at 1 or 2 Carbine matches. We will send out info on this when it becomes available.

Hope to see everyone come out to shoot with us in 2020!!

Reminder that our last match of the year is coming up on Sunday, 11/10. We are NOT doing Steel. Instead we are hosting a USPSA Match. Registration 9am-9:45am. Hammer Down 10am.

We are not doing Pre-Registration on PS for this one. So if you plan to shoot with a group, please know who all is coming and arrive early to get registered.

See everyone at the range!!

Hello All. Just a final reminder on our Hosefest Match for tomorrow. We are a Hammer Down time of 9am for this one!!

Round count came to 353 rounds!! Wow. Bring ammo!!!

We are super excited for this one!! Over 100 shooters and beautiful weather. Let’s do this!!

Hello All!! Just a few reminders for this coming weekends’ Hosefest match. Hammer Down time for this one is at 9am!! Registration/Check In will open at 8am. Round count will likely be over 300; so bring plenty of ammo.

Currently the match is sold out. Depending on No Shows, we may be able to accommodate a few Walk In Shooters; but unfortunately we can make no guarantees.

See everyone at the Range on Sunday!!

Reminder that we will open Registration at 9am and close at 9:45. Hammer Down at 10am. Please bring plenty of water; it will be hot!!

For those who plan to use an SBR, we would advise for you to have paperwork for this firearm available should any member of Law Enforcement request it. Also, reminder that we will be using USPSA rules for their PCC Division for this match. Firearms considered Pistols should not be used. Chamber Flags will be required. Stored weapons should be bagged or carted and facing the berm when about to handle. Otherwise we really do mean for this to be a ‘Fun’ match.

A couple of questions that have been thrown our way. Round Count actually fell right at 200 rounds. So come prepared. No Drum or Coupled Magazines. No Suppressors. We cannot allow anyone to shoot twice or multiple Divisions on this one. We need everyone available to help Run & Reset Stages through this match. It will be extremely HOT!! and we would rather not have delays.

We are excited for this one!! So we look forward to seeing everyone at the range tomorrow!! (Sunday)

Registration 9-9:45am. Hammer down 10am. Divisions will be Carbine Irons, Carbine Optics, Heavy Irons, Heavy Optics, PCC Irons, PCC Optics.

We will be using Time Plus Format for the match. We will have a Required # of hits per targets with all Penalties being 5 seconds. Penalties: Miss, FTE, No Shoot Hit, General Procedural. For any FTE, score keeper would score the proper # of misses and then add an FTE penalty.

Magazines can be of any length but we will allow NO DRUM Magazines to be used.

We hope that this format will allow for a very basic but quick match since it is usually very hot. Please understand that we don’t normally do a Carbine Match, so props will be extremely limited based on what you normally may see.

We will be glad to hear feedback on what everyone thinks. However, we would gratefully request that you wait until a day or two after the match is over. This way our members can enjoy this match as well.

We will be opening registration on Practiscore soon. So please check that out and join us for our Match!!

Exciting News!!!! Sean from Red Dirt Shooting Sports has upped the anti for this match!!

He also has added a random drawing for a $100 Red Dirt Shooting Sports Gift Card!!
